'Woman+ Unmarried+ Approaching one's 30s' is a perfect combination that would invite unabated sympathies and advise from one's friends(married) and family. Archana 31 Not Out portrays the life of one such woman, Archana(played by Aishwarya Lekshmi), who struggles to find the right groom for her. And when she eventually thinks she has found one, a twist awaits her.

Review of the Tamil movie Nitham Oru Vanam by Ra Karthik

The movie's storyline is very straight forward: How travel can change one's outlook about life. Of late, in Kollywood cinema, this pattern can be seen where there is a depressed person(men, mostly) who would climb on their Royal Enfield bike and then set off to the Himalayan mountains; when they return, they become a refined soul. So, is this movie any different from the stereotypical portrayal?! Ah, you can't get to the verdict right in the first paragraph :D

A food delivery boy finds his true love. Yes, this is the story line of the movie ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ directed by Mithran R Jawahar. This is a cliched genre, we all know that. But what Mithran does differently here is to line up a stellar cast namely Dhanush, Nithya Menon, Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja who ensures that the audience doesn’t experience a dull moment in the movie.

Review of Malayalam movie ‘Home’ directed by Rojin Thomas

With smartphones entering our personal lives and becoming a part of our anatomy, the amount of time we spend with our closed ones, especially with our family, has considerably reduced. The fact that it has taken a heavy toll on our relationships is something all of us shamefacedly but honestly would acknowledge. The movie ‘Home’ directed by Rojin Thomas depicts the lives of members in a family and the widening distance between the parents and the children, culprit being the smartphone. It portrays  the mental agonies that the family members go through in addressing these problems and how eventually the bonding is reinstated.

Shershaah is a Hindi movie directed by Vishnuvardhan and written by Sandeep Shrivastava, starring Siddharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani and Shiv Pandit as the lead characters. It is about the life story of young Captain Vikram Batra, a Param Veer Chakra awardee, who died during the Kargil War of 1999. It is truly an astonishing account of a 25-year-old army man who accomplished so much in such a little time span. Does Vishnuvardhan’s Bollywood debut leave a mark in the viewer’s heart?

Movie Review of Ondu Motteya Kathe directed by Raj B. Shetty

Few movies can make you smile, few make you laugh, few make you feel for the characters and rarely does a movie have all these qualities. Ondu Motteya Kathe (OMK) is one such film which accidentally caught my attention as I was skimming through Amazon Prime, wondering what next to watch. It was one of the finest movies I ever watched which kept me glued to my seat and stay curious about what would happen next. OMK is about the story of a 28-old lecturer, with a bald head, hunting for a suitable (‘beautiful’) bride and how his quest helps him in re-defining his idea of ‘beauty’.
