A food delivery boy finds his true love. Yes, this is the story line of the movie ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ directed by Mithran R Jawahar. This is a cliched genre, we all know that. But what Mithran does differently here is to line up a stellar cast namely Dhanush, Nithya Menon, Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja who ensures that the audience doesn’t experience a dull moment in the movie. 

What is the ultimate goal of one's life, beyond earning resources to meet basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter? I have pondered over this many a times but couldn't come up with any concrete answer. Having heard Jay Shetty speak in his Youtube Channel, I had developed high regards for his practical solution in dealing with life's day to day problems. So when I came across this interesting title with the tagline 'The secret of how to harness the power of positivity and be happy now', I picked this book with eagerness that it will bring me closer to the answer that has been eluding me for long. And after having read and re-read this book, I would say that this book lived upto my expectations.

Rocketry:The Nambi Effect is a biopic that portrays the life of Dr. Nambi Narayanan, a research scientist at ISRO and how he navigates the controversial case alleging his involvement in treachery and how he eventually gets acquitted by the Supreme Court. More importantly, it highlights the huge loss that India had to undergo commercially and technologically because of this unscrupulous and baseless charge levied against Dr Nambi who was then spearheading the initiative to introduce Cryogenic technology and was on a mission to turn India into a space superpower.

This movie demonstrates that this is true not only in case where two humans are involved but also in cases where a human and an animal bond together. Starring Rakshit Shetty and the dog as the lead artists, the movie 777 Charlie unfolds how the world of an introvert protagonist, who leads a quiet and mundane life, turns around with the entry of Charlie, the dog.

Dil Dhadakne Do, directed by Zoya Akhthar is an honest portrayal of the emotional turmoil of the members of a super-rich family, which outbursts in various forms as the family goes on a cruise to celebrate the 30^th wedding anniversary of ‘the Mehras’ couple. How the family reconciles and re-discover the long lost bonding is what the movie is all about.

It’s rare to see a sequel for a movie where the first part ended with the demise of the lover. In fact, the first part of Love Mocktail didn’t hint at a sequel. But Darling Krishna, the director and the protagonist, has done a great job in writing and directing the sequel, which captures the emotional journey that the hero goes through after the demise of his lover. 'Love Mocktail 2' will surely leave you yearning for a soul mate like the protagonist.  

With smartphones entering our personal lives and becoming a part of our anatomy, the amount of time we spend with our closed ones, especially with our family, has considerably reduced. The fact that it has taken a heavy toll on our relationships is something all of us shamefacedly but honestly would acknowledge. The movie ‘Home’ directed by Rojin Thomas depicts the lives of members in a family and the widening distance between the parents and the children, culprit being the smartphone. It portrays  the mental agonies that the family members go through in addressing these problems and how eventually the bonding is reinstated.
